About keeping ducks and chickens in the same pen? Because I want to keep my 2 breeds separate and the only way to do that is put one breed in with my 3 ducks. Will the rooster peck the ducks?

We kept them together in the winter when I was a kid and I hated it because the ducks always made such a mess.

What kind of breed's are you refering to ? Chicken breeds ?
I keep my chickens and Ducks in the same pen at night. the chickens are inside roosting of course and the duck's are out in the cool air. It's all enclosed. The main door to the coop is propped open and closed in the winter.

I let the ducks out in the morning to the attatched run. There is a pool with water so they can bathe. My Rooster sometimes humps the ducks but I'm trying to solve that. He is sometimes rough on the ducks and then I put him in the coop to cool off. It's not always a problem but you have to watch the Roo carefully ! He wont peck the hens but will try to mate with them if he's not getting any from the hens...Hornet little brat !!!
