We have a forced air LG. What do you like to keep your humidity around? What should it be for the hatch? Do keep it up as soon as you stop turning?

I run mine between 101-102 never above 102. The instructions tell you to run it at 99.5 and my 1st try i did and they developed and all but most died during development and the rest didnt hatch tll day 24-26. When I run it at 101-102 I get pips on day 19 somtimes more on day 20 and all hatches done by day 21.

I run mine at 100 degrees and 55-60% humidity til day 18 then I bump the humidity to 65-75% til hatch. I hatched 16 out of 16 with those settings, but may be different for you. Everyone has their own method that works better for them.

Thank you both for your insight. It is helpful to hear what others are doing with the exact same equipment:) I used a guerilla homemade bator for my other hatches. I am excited to see if my hatch rate improves:)

We have a still air and run it at 100 and dry. Humidity here in Florida keeps it at about 50% naturally and then we move the eggs to our home built hatcher on day 18. Have a consistant 90 to 95% hatch rate at day 21 to 22.

Everyone on here will most likely tell you something different. Everyone has a method that works for them. Personally I prefer using the low humidity method. I run the temp at 99.5 to 100. I prefer my humidity in the high 30's to low 40's until day 18, which I then raise it to around 65 percent. This has worked very well for me. For myself when I run higher humidity I don't hatch half as many. Hope this helps you to come up with your preferred method of hatching. As with anything it takes a few tries to get it down. Good Luck!
