I've set them in egg cartons (parts of anyway, have Mini Advanced) but are there any other ways? And instead of turning them, has anyone just propped up one side of the incubator, then the other instead of disturbing the eggs themselves?

Curious as to people's approaches. Have some eggs coming Friday. Could try two different set ups since will have 2 Minis going. Thx!

But Mama hen doesn't work with eggs from PA..... when she's in IA. Lol. Or does she? Trying to balance plan for best hatch vrs shipped eggs are a gamble is exhausting!

I would just rotate the crap out of them the first 14 days mama hens deal with shipped eggs
Alot of people are lucky enough to have a broody hen to put shipped eggs under

You'll get the best research based info regarding shipped eggs from the learning center. Look at "hatching eggs 101." There's a whole section there regarding shipped eggs and how to manage them.

I've read and reread that! Tho probably went off on tangents as well. Just didn't see a lot of 'in such and such' when it talked about setting eggs upright. Other than egg cartoons. I will be reading it again tonight I'm sure. Friday coming fast!

That's my old girl Belle. Best agility do I'll probably ever have. Lost her 18 months ago at 16yo. Her motto was ' if it's worth doing, hang on!!' We may not have always gone in the order the judge expected but we sure had a good time.
