What do you think happened?

I incubated 25 eggs: 8 from one mail order, 8 from another and 9 from another.

I got 6 live chicks and one live but impaired chick I had to cull.

5 of the live chicks came from one batch of 8

The batch of 9 gave me 1 impaired cull and 2 late stage arrests.the other 6 had no development at all.

The other batch of 8 gave me one live chick and 7 no development at all.

All came USPS and were well wrapped, no damage. I did not candle.

Thoughts? Explanations? Thanks, Kevin

Did you let them sit for 24 hours or so before incubating? What was your humidity and temperature?

sat at room temp 70F for about 12 hrs, room humidity 30% bator 24% room temp 70 bator 99.5 with fan
