WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hi,
I just posted pics of my chicks and pen in my album and on the coop thread.
I bought these sweet hens at Tractor Supply and they said they were Rhode Island Reds. After checking out different photos of chickens I'm thinking maybe these r ISA Browns.
A lady who raises RIR said these don't look like hers. They shoud be dark brown to be RIR.
What type of hens r these?

You're right, they are not RIR.

Red Sex Links. I have the same birds - also sold to me as RIR.

These are Red Sex link hens. They are good birds and extremely good layers, usually with great disposition.

Definitely red sex links...I have five of them and they are AWESOME! Very friendly too. I think you can always (or most of the time) tell females from males by their coloring. Males stay almost all white whereas females look like yours.

that's funny... cuz the guy at the Tractor Supply Store told me I was buying RIR., and they turned out to be ISA Browns.... wonder if we were standing in the same line? lol

Ok-straighten me out here-red sex links are the same as "Golden Comets"????

They almost look like Red or Gold Sexlinks to me. I have gold sexlinks and they are great birds!
