What do you use to make your house smell good?

Looking for all my options when having a bird... always so scared what to use. But having cats (they have no access to the birds don't worry!) I'd like a way to combat their smell...

Clean out their litter box more often. You have to get rid of the source of the smell and not just cover it up. That being said, I only burn 100% beeswax candles with my cockatiel around. And I never use air fresheners
