I'm taking one of my chickens on the bus tomorrow (we're going to see a vet) and was wondering what other people do to spot clean chickens.
She has injured feet so she likes to lie down a lot in her miniature run. Unfortunately, she'll often end up on top of poop and when she was sitting on my shoulder earlier today I noticed the strong smell of that poop on her feathers. I've already given her two baths since Saturday, so I don't want to stress her out by giving her yet another one but I want that smell gone.
Would rubbing alcohol too harsh?

Yes that can be a bit harsh and drying to the skin IMO
I have used baby wipes on mine many times to spot lean them or 2 parts water and 1 part peroxide and then a cotton ball to get the bad spots.
GL at the vet 2morrow

How about those wipes you can buy, to freshen up dogs between baths? I'm not sure what the ingredients are, but I'm sure it'd be safe for chickens? I saw them at Shop Rite the other day.

i still prefer the baby wipes (the senseative ones) they are a lot cheaper and you get tons more
