Our chickers (chicky-peckers as we call them) like to huddle under the coop or under my hubby's truck. A few of them just hunker down next to something... It's pouring here in Catskill Mnts, NY and I'm a little unmotivated to do much today so here I am!

HAHA, chicky-peckers, lol that sounds like something my australian husband would say. But yea when it even looks like its gonna rain, my lil white leghorn hen TAKES OFF towards the pen like she's being chased by DEATH! lol, while the other ones kinda mosey their way under a bush, to the next bush, then to a closer bush, until they finally reach the pen. lol.
Here's whitey, she's a wittle bit wet lol...

They go into the woods under some trees where its usually a little dryer, under the deck, back into the barn or into the garage if someone forgot and left the door open. 9 times out of 10 my poor polish girl gets left behind and I find her wandering around the yard drenched. Sometimes I'll spoil her and bring her inside, wrap her in a blanket and let her watch TV on my lap for a while.

Mine huddle in the run (run and coop are covered) glaring at me for making it rain, for some reason it's my fault if water falls from the sky!

Thanks, that is Micro. She is a bantam White Crested Black Polish (not the one that gets spoiled lol) and I think maybe a dwarf because she is so tiny. She was 9/10 of an ounce in that picture.

Our banties carry on regardless unless it's heavy rain and then they find a tree, bush or something else to shelter under. If it rains at night, they sit it out in their tree.

I put my chickens back in their coop, prob solved... If thin not home, and it rains, than thy gotta find their own spot, but theirs plenty of spots for them to hide
