I am a new duck owner. I have three mixed breed 10-11 week old ducks. From what I have read, at this age they should be molting into their adult feathers. When a few weeks ago I found the yard was FULL of feathers I was not worried, but now their underbellies are almost empty of anything but some fuzz and a the shafts of new feathers coming in and they are starting to loose back and wing feathers as well and are looking very scraggly. Is this what a normal molt looks like? I am starting to wonder if something else could be going on? Otherwise they seem like happy, healthy, energetic ducks.
