Yes, that's good, bigzio. Our roo is docile, but it would be a mistake to consider him pliant.

This is no exercise in splitting hairs. One's date might well be docile up until the moment her hand lands on one's face. The price paid for mistaking a gentle demeanor for a pliant nature.
