What does it mean if a chicken sets?

I'm getting my first batch of day-old chicks from Murdochs soon and I keep reading things like "This breed will set" or "non-setters" in Murdoch's chick list. What does this mean? Thanks for any help- I am quite a newbie.

By "set" they mean go broody. When a hen goes broody it means they want to be mothers and will sit on eggs. You can break the broodiness though.
