what does it mean when a chicken does this

My girls do that to me too! I give them a quick rub then they fluff up their feathers and are happy. Though if mine even hear my voice they do it too... Not sure I like being the "roo"

One of my EE does it to me and the other hens if we pass to close. My other hens will do if one of the other girls runs past her and she doesn't see them coming... I just pat them a little and let them go...
