What does my chicken have? What am I doing wrong to being able to help her? Thank you

Can you please help me, I don’t know what else to do? She is my only chicken left. I cannot get any more till we move. She is my buddy. Her name is Baby.


1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Buff Orpington, 8 years old, I don’t know how much she weighs
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Normal behavior
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Getting worse since May
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No other birds, but her in the coop
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
A big lump under her eye and her waddles under skin by throat have a mass
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
I do not know what may of happened to her.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
She is drinking water. I have put electrolytes in her water. Also vitamins. She eats TSC crackle layer, and also gave her the crackle corn, pumpkin seed treat mixture
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal poop
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Vet RX, Terramycin Ointment, and vitamins in her water
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I want to do what I can for her ASAP
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use

@scratch'n'peck has dealt with this before. Also a quote from them.
Poor hen. It does sound like a tumor or an abscess. If it is an abscess, I think injectable Penicillin G is typically recommended. It is available at some farm stores like Tractor Supply, and has doesing instructions according to the weight of the animal on the packaging. A vet may be able to drain an abscess, too.
 
Does it feel hot, when compared to the other side of her face? Feel with the palm of your hand. Does she react with pain when you touch it? If it is hot and painful, it seems to me that it is more likely to be an abscess. I don't think you want to go cutting into this without knowing what it is, however. Is a vet a possibility, even if just to get an opinion and a diagnosis?
