Hello,

We have 4 Bantams that are now sharing a coop and run. We used to have a pecking issue which seems to be resolved.
So recently we have noticed our birds running up to each other, puffing up their chest and raising their heads up high, like they are ready for a fight but then nothing happens they just go their separate ways. They seem to do this quite often. Anything we should be concerned about?

Thank you!

It's nothing to worry about - simply a challenge to the existing pecking order. My girls seem to prefer staring competitions, but they both amount to the same thing.

Posturing for dominance......in young birds, 3-5 months, I see it frequently.
They race around and bump chests and race around some more then take a nap together.
Hard to know if they are 'playing' or serious, I tend to thinks it's more the former.

ETA: It is indeed hilarious!
