Father gander with his mate and 4 goslings keeps chasing the other ones away and then coming back to his goslings and mate with his neck stretched out and making that noise.. some sort of gesture I'm not sure what it means.

Means "keep away from my babies"

Oh no, he was chasing away the other geese and then as he walked back to his family he made that sound with his neck stretched out.. not hissing, it this sound that they make when they reunite with each other.. but he was doing it every time after he chased another goose away..

Reaffirming his relationship with his mate and young. My geese do it after they are reunited walking around different sides of the cars in the driveway.
