What dog should I get?

I have two chickens and 1 cat. I am at school from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. But my dad gets home at about 2:00 PM. I am home on weekends. I don't really need a guard dog or something that will chase my other pets around. It needs to be able to handle a long time alone and not try to run away. I probably have time for maybe 1 daily walk. Any suggestions????

Here is a link to a list of dog breeds that have low exercise needs. If you decide to rescue a mix, don't get one that you know is a mix of working or herding breeds. I've got an Aussie mix that needs way more exercise than I give him.
