Blue Swedish
Buff
Cayuga
Khaki
Rouen
Welsh Harlequin
Ancona

These are the ones I am leaning toward. What are the difference in the eggs?

All ducks can make a loud quack it's more the fact what breed is more docile and less nervy

Personally I'm new to duck keeping and I've got five welsh harlequin ducklings and I think welsh harlequins are pretty docile

You can keep all those breeds together but if you hatch the eggs the will most likely be mixed breeds. Nothing is wrong with that if you don't mind it. For me I like the Swedish blue the most. The lay a blue tented egg, they are a rare breed, and mine at least was a good layer/sitter. I have found a happy duck is a quit duck.

If raised together you can keep several breeds, main thing is try and stay within the same range of sizing, ie; don't take a heavyweight breed and stick a bantam, my calls will never be with my Muscovy, i have drakes, they could be far to rough or maybe fine, a risk i'd rather not take.

I have buffs they are loud, already there not even 1mth old yet lol Most mallard derived are, if you want quiet then it's Muscovy, yes this is where i hear they are ugly, i don't like them BUT seriously if quiet is a top concern they are THE bird, my 4 mallard derived ducks make more noise than my 18 Muscovy combined.no joke.

I had Muscovys and the were quiet and good egg layers. I did not find them to be ugly. also they are very friendly. I got them when they were older and not handled very much but after a few months they would eat out of my hands.
