What else do I feed poults

I'm new to turkeys and just hatched some poults and have been feeding them starter grower, is there something else I should be feeding them or is starter grower enough?

Try to find some game bird starter with at least 28% protein. I feed mine a 30% game bird feeder from Purina.

I also feed that, but make sure you check the date code at the bottom of the bag, it's not a big seller at my TSC, so sometimes the bags aren't very fresh.

My TSC doesn't sell that feed. I buy it from another feed store that orders it especially for me during turkey hatching season. They know that I always check the dates on the bag, so the feed is always fresh. They know better than to sell me some old feed. They would never hear the end of it from the Krazy Chicken Lady.

I sent Mike to the other feed store by me, not TSC, and they sold him a bag of 18 month old feed! Crazy chicken lady, you bet! I ought to charge them for the gas money it took to return it!

TSC IS TERRIBLE about not rotating feed and having feed around too long. So, yea, you have to look at those dates.

Thanks for the advice, I will check for sure. The TSC I go to goes through tons of feed every day, they are forever refilling the bays with feed so it is never older then a day or two, but I haven't bought game bird chow yet, will tomorrow, and you bet I'll be checking dates!!
