What gender is my Silver Laced Wyandotte?

This is one of my five-week-old Silver Laced Wyandottes. I bought an assorted pullet lot, but am wondering if this is a roo. The comb is more reddish than I expected for a five week old. The chick in the front is the one I am wondering about.

At 5 weeks old, it certainly is suspicious for a cockerel.

Just wanted to let you know, i had a silver laced wyandotte rooster, and he was so nice at first, but he started to attack my my son, husband, and me. So we had to butcher him. He was so beautiful!! We used to pick him up, pet him, not sure what happened. He was terrified of our little tiny OEGB Rooster. Hopefully you wont have a problem!

Oh that's sad! Yeah I'm hoping that mine will continue being sweet. Right now he's the friendliest one and always hops up to my hand to get petted.

We aren't opposed to eating our roosters if we end up with too many, but part of me feels bad that we might have to eat such a beautiful animal.
