Hi everybody, how are you?
I have a problem identifying the sex of the black hen. until recently I thought it was female but today she started crowing . (the male has not yet started crowing). What do you think about it? Thanks in advance

If im looking at the right bird, that looks like a rooster. The tail feathers are a give away. They aren't shaped upwards like an ice cream cone like hens normally have, but are hanging downwards like saddle feathers (i believe that's what they're called).

All chickens have saddle feathers. I'm not certain which bird they're looking at because depending on age, there's a cockerel or a hen. Depending on age.

Thanks, I am interested knowing the gender of the all black hen (the one on the right in the first photo and the one further on in the second)
