What gender??

Agreeing with cockerel. Those pointy saddle feathers are just too masculine to be pullet. Also, silkie and silkie-mixes can be hard to tell gender with just combs alone, because silkie males don't get the super-obvious bright large combs like other breeds. So I'm betting on cockerel. Also, he's STUNNING.

I’m generally pretty good when it comes to silkies since I breed and show them. However my line always gets little wattles while the hens never get any, and it’s like he has no wattles! Which made me lean towards pullet in the beginning!

He is stunning! If I were naming him, I'd call him Lucifer because he looks a little mischievous and scary.

Haha, he is a little mischievous but a big love bug! We named him fern when he was a chick because we figured it could be a unisex name and his mother’s name is Willow, so it went with the theme!
