What got my duck??? Picture below

Howdy all I had an animal take my muscovy drake last night. I found the body after looking for hours. Found a trail of feathers to a area in tall grass that he laid. The guys were the olny thing removed, nothing else. Any ideas on animal? Fox, wolf or dog? Here is a pic

Dog or coyote is my vote...

not sure what part of Ontario you live in (north or south)
could be a host of things (are there any tracks)

could go from the common coon/coyote or could be the weasel family. mink, marten, fisher.

Wouldn't dog just be dead birds? All the rest are ok. I even thought possibly black bear as they are trying to get the fattiest stuff right now

I have seen dogs just eat the blood organs ...is why I said that...just a guess

No I am not challenging your experiences, just looking at options. My neighbor has a seinor dog but he can barely walk
I never knew of dogs just going for inners. The drake had been dragged into thick brush

I had coyotes and wolves take the blood organs from sheep years ago..but I suppose something besides canines could too.
