What happened to my chicken's toe?

I was checking my hen's feet earlier and found an injury on one of her toes. I don't see any blood. It just looks like tissue came out and kind of dried up. I attached a couple pictures.

It looks like an injury to me, probably got the toe caught on something. Unless you see any signs of infection, it will likely heal up and be fine. Toes can get hung up on all sorts of things, fencing, feeders, ramps, gaps around roosts, etc.

Yes, I agree, it looks like an injury. Just watch it to make sure it doesn't swell.

If you want you can clean with peroxide and apply Neosporin.

Thanks! I'll clean it up and make sure nothing else is wrong with it. She seems totally normal, no limping, so I'm thankful for that.
