What happened to this egg

Two of our chickens (March hatched) just started laying about 10 days ago. Found this egg in the coop today, right under the roost. What happened?

Soft shelled egg that probably got laid while on the roost. It happens. Make sure they are getting either layer feed or oyster shell. Other than that it's just a kink that will work itself out.
