Our **** rooster sentence himself to death i was next to my daughter (thankfully he has no spurs and he did no damage) but he had the balls to come up behind her and try to attack her i chased that son of a gun i didny catch him my husband did which is the only reason his necks not broken right now. My husband wasnt out side so he only knew i wanted him caught. I planned on holding off on his death till october but he is getting bolder and i will not allow another attempted attack on her, he had crowed his last. If he doesnt have enough fat does he still go in the freezer or to the dogs? Like i said he dead tonight or tomorrow i am not letting him live any longer!!

Enough fat for what? I never found chicken fat to be an asset. Doesn't matter how scrawny he is. Put him in the crock pot or in a pot on the top of the stove on simmer. Add some salt and pepper, some onions, garlic, and a bay leaf. Maybe a carrot or two. Simmer him until the meat falls off the bone. Then you will have the basis for any number of tasty dishes from chicken salad, to chicken and dumplings to whatever strikes your fancy.

We skin our birds, so it essentially removes any fat under the skin. Leanest meat you'll ever see lol. I pressure cook them, or crock pot them. I do like laying a few strips of bacon over the breast for a little extra richness. If you leave the skin on your bird, you can rub herbed butter or cream cheese under the skin for moister meat.
