I don't know what to do! It appears that my rooster wasn't doing his job. Do I remove all of the eggs from the hen, let her have some time and try again? She's been sitting for about 30 days. Or do I trade out the seemingly bad eggs with some fresh ones (we have a new rooster now) and see if she'll sit on those to the end? I really don't want to freak her out!

Thank you! She's pretty fiesty -- I do let her out every morning (she had to be secluded because the others were picking on her badly), so what do you think about slipping them in when she is off the clutch? Or is it better to do at night? I am so so new to this! And (unfortunately) I get too attached to my pets!
Thanks again!

Oh, don't let her set any longer, please. Get her some chicks.

Slip them under her when she's on the nest, don't put them there when she's not on the nest. You can do it in the day or at night, but I would prefer daytime so you can make sure she accepts them.

Good luck!
