What if you cant buy the proper feed

I am trying to feed some wild chickens on grand cayman island for eggs. I cant buy any feed on the island, what should I feed them so that they will have the best chance of laying eggs. They are about 2 months old.

By wild...do you mean, they are not in a cage? Free roaming? If thats the case...and they are wild/feral...they will find exactly what they need. Can you get some feed ordered in? Have you set up nest boxes? If they are feral..wild, I dont think they will use a nest box. Now, if you have them in pens...with a shelter/coop...you will need to order some chicken feed in. Layer feed. Good luck with them.

They are just neighbourhood chickens that we have started feeding. We were thinking of keeping them in a cage at night and free roam during thr day.

They love steamed rice, oatmeal, tomato's, green leafy vegetables.
