We are a military family and we are trying as hard as we can to get out of the base we are stationed at, to get back home to CA. Its obveously going to happen some time, so my question is...What do I do with my chickens? How would I get rid of them (as sad as it sounds...)?

Do you have somewhere to post notices on post? Maybe someone else would like a ready made flock with coop and feed, whatever else you have to go with them. Or craigslist, or a notice on the board at your local feed stores.

That's a good idea! - here we have a bulletin board right inside the door at the base exchange....people stop and look at it all the time....
