When I went to let out my chickens which are just five months old today (and just started laying small eggs within the week) I found on the coop floor two eggs. However these egg appeared to have no shell!! One was whole and the other looked like maybe the other was stepped on or pecked at. These eggs were clear and like jello almost. Any ideas or advice??

If it has no shell, it could be a sign of lack of calcium. Do they have access to a pot of grit or oystershells?

No they do not. The do eat my veggie and fruit scraps and organic pellets. The last 3ish days however I have been giving them a lot of Lettuce from our garden. They enjoy it so much. Perhaps they are eating too many scraps an not enough pellets in the last 3 days?? Where would I get oyster shells from?? Thanks you btw!

You need some oystershells for calcium to harden the shells. Your local petshop should sell girt or oyster shells.
