I think that may be because alot of rural (and not so rural) people are on dial up internet connections. It can take a very long time for pictures to load, so some just avoid them.

I think your chicks are cute- I love interesting colors. I cant say breeds, but that # 2 looks like an EE I have. The first looks like a possible rhode island red.

The pictures are pretty much out of focus, your hands look nice and your haircut, but, the heads on chicks is not clear. Maybe they moved when the picture was taken. I agree alot of people have dial up and the very large photos OP's have been displaying take forever to download. Smaller size sharp forcused pics. are plenty good to show what you have. Some are very interested colors but I couldn't come up with a good guess.
 
the first one should be a spangled b b red , the others got some kind of blue in them , prolly blue and bb red crossed the blue gene can produce chickens from solid black to all white but they will have atleast one blue feather some where
