What is a dommer?

A friend of mine is getting out of having chicken as he don't have time for them anymore, he said he was going to give me some to add to my current flock, one he mentioned was a dimmer or as it was spelled the msg calmer, is this a dominie? I searched and can not find nothing? Anyone have any photos or info.

Maybe he meant the chicken was a cannibal like Jeffrey Dalmer? It's not unusual for chickens to do, especially if crowded.

he's out of town for awhile until I can get them if I am interested and he lives a ways , just trying to figure out what breed I was getting into there.

A Dominique ? Coloring is similar to barred rock but "softer" more finely marked if I'm thinking correctly ,and one other breed I think ... Forgetful brain at this second
