In the next few years I plan to start a medium sized quail operation, selling meat, fresh eggs, fertilized eggs, chicks, and (possibly) balut. Im hoping for ideas or suggestions on what building materials I should use for my first quail house. Im also looking for advice, ideas, and suggestions from experienced quail farmers. Thank you in advance!

I was going to suggest Hardie cement board too. There are other choices aside from the lap siding, such as the solid panels. Heck, you could probably even just use Hardie backer board, often used behind tile installation, just paint it; it's much cheaper than the other "finished" versions.

Quail balut is a thing? I went to the Philippines once and asked an uncle why balut was always duck egg, never chicken eggs. Said for chickens they wait until the chicks hatch, then fry them up whole 🤮
