what is a good price.... ?

Heya all -

I have decided to get rid of my bigger ducks and concentrate on the call ducks and the mallards.

I have a foursome of Swedish - purebred, girls are laying (they were hatched feb 2nd 2009). and a foursome of swedish mixed (I think mixed) that are younger - boy just got his drake feather, they have a tiny bit of fluff still.

I was thinking $35 for the purebred swedish foursome and $25 on the mixed foursome.

Do you think that is reasonable, or too much, or not enough?

They are all black and whites - no blues in the bunch. The purebreds are very beautiful, big and shiny feathers. The mutt ones are pretty, also, but not as large yet and a bit fluffy still. The mutts looks more splashed black and white instead of the more traditional black with white bib.

I can post pics if it'll help - I have pics of the purebreds, would have to get pics tomorrow of the mutts (the mutts may be pures, but I got them from an unreliable source, so no idea if he lied or not. they look mixed to me).

I think your prices are a little low... especially with the girls already laying. However, price will also be determined by your area. Also, if you want them gone quick, at those prices I would snatch those Swedes up in a heartbeat! LOL

Yeah, ShelleyD thinks they are a bit low,. too - she's sold young drakes for 8 bucks, and pairs of pekins for 20 bucks, she said. (she is in my area, we sell at the same places)

Maybe I'll ask 40 for each quad - and let people talk me down a little.
They love to try to get a bargain here

better to be talked down to 35 than to be talked down to 25 or something ridiculous - I'll keep them for that price and take them to another place to sell them.
