What is a quite crowing rooster?

Hello I am new BYC and sort of new to keeping chickens and I was wondering if there was any roosters that crowed quitter as the neighbours complained about my last rooster so I had to get rid of it but I still want fertile eggs.

Rooster crowing is meant to help them communicate over a long distance. It's not a quiet thing.

ok thanks I had heard that bantams are quitter crowing but maybe it was not true

Welcome to BYC. Bantams do not have the heavy baritone crowing ability of large fowl, but most have very frequent ear piercing crowing ability.

Ypu could always intelligently and safely use a no crow collar.

My bad that's considered a violation of the rooster rights to do what it was intended to do.
