Does anyone know a website that will give me all of the info for show quality birds? We are thinking of showing Rose for 4-H next year, and some open shows locally this fall.

If we have not got any show quality birds.. then I will need to find one!

thanks!

I'd suggest getting a Standard of Perfection. It has the standards for all the breeds recognized by the APA. You can also check the RIR club and see if they have a standard on their site.

Usually, when showing in a fair, the birds competing will not be SQ, and many will even be mixed. SQ RIRs can be quite hard to find.

Good luck

You can go to Feathersite and it has the link under RIR for the Breed club. Has standard and Breeder list on there.

Thanks everyone!!!

I did a google earlier, but thought it would be easier just to ask in here where to go!

For all I know, Rose might even be a productions RIR..

Looked at your website-if that's the Red in question he's a production type Red

Show quality will be much larger and deeper mahogany color.
These are my three girls at 1 1/2 months old, April, May and June are their names.

I am finally coming to the realization... well, the admittance, that Rose is a him. His legs are thick and he just seems rooish.

So far he is a sweetie pie.

Man.... this is going to be an issue with little bantam hen Midnight and perky Rusty the roo.
