What is Bumble Foot?..and how can i tell if thats what my chick has?

i have a 9 week old ameracauna....and last night i noticed that she was limping..i found on the bottom of her foot a slight lump..its seems to be skin tone in color, soft and no open wound or sore ...and it seems to have some fluid in it that moves around when i push on it..any idea what it could be?..thanks, Wendy

should i soak it in something?....epsom salts?.....just warm water?...thanks, Wendy

yes soak it and put some antibiotic ointment and wrap a bandage around it......keep her on clean litter and give her antibiotics in her water

I think I would lance it and do the foot soak every day with a new bandage

thanks so much for replying!..can i buy antibiotics at my local feed store?....also..do i still wrap the foot if there is no open sore on it...and what should i use for ointment?....neosporin?...i'm afraid to lance it...lol...but i will, if i have to to get the infection out...should i seperate her from the flock?..what is bumble foot?..is that what it is?...there is no sore on the foot though for an infection to get in...so..i'm confused as to what it could be....thanks alot for your help!!..Wendy
