What is "Bumping"

and how can I make sure I don't do it. When I reply to a post I hit my back button and it stays on that topic. I want to make sure that is not a bump. Sorry for silly question... Im not a new egg anymore but still new. hehe

Bump is when you post to your topic again just to make it show back up in the recent post list.

What you are doing is not a bump.

I don't think it's a real problem until someone keeps bumping their post just to make sure it stays at the top. I've bumped a post that was about to go to pg. 2 and didn't have many responses,just so someone that might be able to help gets to read it.
