I had 20 eggs develop normally up to lockdown. I candled them all before I put them into lockdown too and saw movement in all eggs.
Today is day 28. Two eggs I know are not going to make it as the ducklings hit veins while internally pipping and the air sacks in both eggs filled with blood.
I currently have 5 ducklings hatched out and 2 more hatching right now.
I then have 11 eggs doing nothing.

Should I wait until the two hatching are out and then candle the remaining 11??

The two sacs filled with blood? I would see if you can assist them quick if they're still alive. Just get them out and see if they make it.

Yes, once the couple finish hatching candle the rest. If there are any internally pipped ones when you candle I would put in safety holes.

I can’t say for sure it’s blood. Happened about two days ago. One I candled two days ago and it was still moving around but when I checked it again it wasn’t. Then when I noticed it happened again I assumed the duckling had passed. what I can see is that the air sack is a full dark spot on the egg. And when candled it’s all red inside.
I’ll let these last two hatch and see what’s going on with the rest

Ok. That's weird. If you eggtopsy these let me know, and take some pics. It's interesting that it's dark. I wonder what's causing it. Let me know what you find with the others.

Okay so I checked one. Grabbed it out quick. Not blood on the inside. The duckling has internally pipped and was sitting up top in the egg but it got shrink wrapped :(
So not sure why I saw red. It didn’t externally pip.

Is it still alive?
