What is good bedding for my duck?

I clean him out every day. I don't live on a farm. I live in a subdivision, so I think one inside duck is enough!

Why inside though? As with all poultry, ducks thrive outdoors. If you want an inside pet- why choose a duck? They can do so much more outdoors than indoors. Living in a tote? Really? What’s the joy to that for a duck? Hmm.

even if you live in town you should have room for a small chicken tractor duck pen never and i mean never should you keep one duck or any type of poultry. you would be better off having the duck live outside with another duck and letting them come in the house every so often.

I use shavings TSC carries it. Most feed stores too.

Ducky is outside every day & enjoys grass,etc & his bathtub. Right now he is not too sure about his kiddie pool. I feed him dandelion leaves & shredded carrots. Believe he is not suffering!

I use a thin layer of straw and change it once a week. They stomp and trample everything with their flat feet, including their poop, so what you use isn't as important as cleaning up often!
