He’s been sick for quite a while now. No energy, pale, eyes shut. His eyes seem to be more open but now these black dots have appeared

Looks like fowl pox. It's a virus that's transmitted by mosquitoe bites.

It usually runs it's coarse over a few weeks. After the virus is cleared it will leave the bird immune.
