What is the correct term for a male Quail?

I was just curious?
What is the term for a male quail.? I've seen them referred to as "roo's" .

And the hens?

i believe its just cock's and hen's....i always call them food and grump. tho i know thats not correct

I was raised saying hen or cockbird probably not correct I think it has something to do with being in "polite company " lol
