What is the friendliest rooster.

I already have an austrolorp rooster and he is very mean and i am wanting to get a new rooster. Any suggestions?

Well, I have had a number, and my friendliest has been the Coronation Sussex. He is a BIG boy, Beautiful, sweet, docile, totally non-agressive. Just a Big Baby.
That said, he also doesn't care about protecting the girls. lol You can pretty much do anything to the hens, and although he might look at your sideways, he will NEVER be mean, and you can walk right up to him and just gather him right up in your arms...

I do think that it depends on the bird's personality as well....

I like my Black Copper Marans boys. They (so far) have been aggressive and protective of the hens, bit it's nothing I can't handle... They have proven their weight in gold with protecting my hens from cats, dogs, ravens, and even a bald eagle.
