What is the genetic link?

Is the feathers in a Silkie linked to the black skin like the pea comb is with the blue egg in Americana(sp)? What would the link be for the black skin? the 5 toes? the silked feathers? Anyone know?

AFAIK none of the "silkie genes"- dark skin, toes, silky feathering etc are closely linked to each other.
