What is the lump on my chickens chests?

Ok there is probably an obvious answer to this question! But all of my chickens have this bulge on the right side of their chests, what is it, is it the thing that stores food? At first I was worried it was a tumor or something but almost all of our chickens have it! What is this?

That is the Crop where food is stored until it is processed or digested through their system, in the mornings it should be fairly empty..

That's the word I was looking for, crop! Couldn't think of it. I guess I will have check them in the morning!

Thats what I came on here to find out for myself. I have 3 Isa Brown chickens (around 10 weeks old)
Today I noticed the lump on their right side too. All 3 have them. I was assuming it was an egg forming.

Crop...Ill be looking this up to educate myself more thanks!
