I’m hatching chickens. The Amazon listing says 9-12, but I am putting in some smaller silkie and silkie crosses this time as well as full sized eggs. How many does it say? Like another species like quail or turkey?
I’ve done 12 full sized before. But I’ve never hatched silkies. Should they not be in the incubator together?I would stick with the 9-12 just to be sure they all have room before they head to the brooder... It looks pretty small. I'd be afraid the bigger chicks would run over the lils... I'd say after this hatch you'll have a better idea
I hatch bantams and full size together with absolutely no problemsI’ve done 12 full sized before. But I’ve never hatched silkies. Should they not be in the incubator together?
Are you hand turning, or does it have a turner?I’ve done 12 full sized before. But I’ve never hatched silkies. Should they not be in the incubator together?
