You have a mixed flock why not keep the EE? If you want more breast meat on your flock get a Std Cornish. If you get RIR and it breeds with the BRs you will get black sex links. For protection for the flock go with gamecock. A lot of choices depending on your priorities. If your planning on selling hatching eggs then you need to seperate by breed, mutt eggs will probably not bring in enough to make it worth selling.

I'm trying to think if I wana keep the ee. I Want to hatch the eggs for personal use. Also I really just want to know the most quite breed for roos.

I have 5 EE packing peanuts and so far they have been the quietest that I have had. The second is my Cornish bantams they do not crow much. I have silkies and though they cannot crow as loud as the larger bird they do crow a lot. Surprisingly my gamefowl do not crow as much as I thought they would but they can crow loud.

If I were you, I'd probably just keep the EE also. I have a Half-Breed Rooster (good-lookin' fella)(some sort of Red-Sex-Link) who is very pleasant, although he can crow loudly!

He is the Master of the chicken Yard and though occasionally "dictatorial", he is a Benevolent Tyrant and I wouldn't want to be a predator coming into his "Kingdom". I think he would fight an experienced Gamecock! But, he's mostly very gentlemanly!

He was Sire to an attractive Buff Orpington pullet and I'm expecting more fine looking chicks from him in the future. I LIKE his personality and this is more important to me than "color breeding".

just my 2 pesos worth,
