They're on the "no permit needed" list in Michigan.

Are they wild, flighty, and aggressive towards each other like most quail and pheasant species?

I am so loving my little dumb coturnix because they are like little tame chickens.

Don't know if I would like Chukars or not. Just thinking about it at this point.

The young and year olds are pretty flighty, the two year olds calm down some.. The young are easy to raise if you watch what you are doing. They need plenty of space and don't get them hot! smaller groups do better as chicks. before breeding season, you need to cut the roo to hen ratio down a bunch or the roos will kill each other.

If they start to peck, cool them off some!

It's more of a job than raising coturnix, but I love every minute of it!!!
