Does the chicken have ocular Mareks disease? It looks like conjunctivitis. Have you seen any bubbles or foam in the eye, or other respiratory symptoms?

Does ocular mareks cause eye growths like that? Does it look like she has the pupil issues from mareks? I don’t think there have been any changes to her eyes but I’m not sure. And no, I haven’t noticed any of those other symptoms in any of our chickens, only this bump thing today.

Hard to know if her irregular pupil is caused by ocular Mareks or something else. Her pupil is dilated (large) and her iris color is hard to gage due to the splotches. She may be having changes or her eye may be like that for some other reason. Usually Mareks causes a gray iris and irregular pupil, usually smaller than normal. What does her other eye look like? Any picture of it?Does she have any signs of a respiratory infection, such as watery eye, nasal drainage, head shaking, sneeze, or mucus in the beak? The pink tissue, which is not common in Mareks, could be from conjunctivitis which may be due to sinus infection. Right now I am just guessing. Here is a similar eye, but the color is more gray and due to Mareks.

Here are (maybe) better photos of the same eye, less zoomed in at least. It looks less severe and less angry. I’m not really sure what to think!

Don’t mind me in the background of the photo of her other eye. It’s hard to tell but that one has similar iris flecking minus the bulge of tissue in the corner.

She has not had any type of respiratory symptoms that I’ve noticed.
