What is this in the poop?

Found this in my chickens poop twice. This is the version I played around with a leaf but there was this red blob at the edge of the poop. What is this? Can this be an indicator of a disease?

How old are your chickens that may have passed this dropping? It looks like some intestinal shedding which has a little blood. How are the chickens acting? Are they eating well? Have you wormed them recently or treated them for coccidiosis in the past? If not, I would consider worming them with Valbazen or SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer, and if they are very young, consider treating them with Corid.

They are 2-3 years I’m guessing. I wormed them In September with SafeGuard. Should I do it again?

It has to be shaken very well and given orally at a dosage of 1/4 (0.25) ml per pound of weight. Seeing some intestinal shed on occasion may be normal, but seeing it often may be worms, coccidiosis, or some other problem. If your regular vet is willing, you can take in a ziploc bag of fresh droppings to get tested for worms and coccidia.

I used like 1ml for each chicken but I think one did not get any since she is skittis. I don’t have access a vet so do you think I should get Corid?

Would it be a bad idea to give both wormer and Corid consecutively or at the same time.

You can safely give her the wormer orally, and then also treat with Corid in the water. Dosage of Corid is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days.
