She is about six months old. We picked her up at a feed store when she was a couple of weeks old. We had thought that a hawk had gotten her last month as she disappeared from the rest of the free rangoing flock. Yesterday we saw it at 830 am by the coop. When we wengt to check on her at noon, she was gone again.
This morning I went to the coop at 8 am to wait for her to see from what direction she must be staying. A few minutes later she flew to the coop. We discover just a little while ago that she had gone broody in a cabinet in my work shop, the garage is never closed. There where 4 dead chicks and a handful of eggs in the bottom cabinet. We built her a next in the cabinat and transfered the eggs. This is temporary until we figure out what we need to do with this broody bantam.
Any advise would be appreciated.
